Terms of Use

Acceptance of terms

By using CarVerdict (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What the Service is

CarVerdict generates general informational risk reports based on details you provide about a used vehicle listing. Reports use a rules-based scoring model and a curated reference library of common OBD-II trouble codes and vehicle issues. The Service is intended to help you ask better questions and understand information you already have — it is not a diagnosis, valuation, or guarantee.

No professional advice

Nothing produced by CarVerdict constitutes mechanical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Decisions labeled "BUY," "NEGOTIATE," or "WALK AWAY" are informational suggestions only, generated from the information you entered, which may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always obtain an independent pre-purchase inspection before buying a used vehicle.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Estimated costs, market values, and urgency levels are general estimates and will not match every situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarVerdict and its operators are not liable for any decision made, or loss incurred, based on a report generated by the Service, including decisions to buy, negotiate, or decline a vehicle purchase.

Pricing

The quick car check is currently free. A paid, one-time "Full Used Car Risk Report" is planned but payments are not yet enabled; no payment will be collected until that feature launches and these Terms are updated accordingly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
